What is Metta?
Metta (Pali) or maître (Sanskrit) means benevolence, loving-kindness, friendliness, good will and active interest in others.
Metta is defined as the strong wish for welfare and happiness of others. It evokes within a warm feeling of sympathy and love which overcomes all social, religious, racial, political and economic barriers.
Metta is an unselfish, universal, all embracing love.
